Legal Technology Consultant - eDiscovery & Data Intelligence

About the role

Clayton Utz is recruiting a Consultant for its Data Intelligence Practice in Melbourne. You will help design and deliver legal technology and AI-augmented workflows, including eDiscovery services, working with legal teams and clients on matters such as class actions, regulatory investigations, large-scale disputes and other data-intensive cases. Recent graduates or those with similar experience are welcome, and training and coaching are provided.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver legal technology, AI-driven workflows and eDiscovery services across a range of matters
• Partner with legal teams and clients to turn complex data challenges into structured, defensible solutions
• Create customised solutions using industry-leading eDiscovery and AI platforms
• Work with tools such as Harvey AI, Relativity, Mary and bespoke solutions like CaseTrace

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Law, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Commerce, Software Engineering or a related field
• Logical, proactive problem-solving and strong analytical ability to interpret data and prioritise tasks
• Attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication, able to explain technical solutions to non-technical audiences
• Time management, teamwork and a creative, innovative mindset

Required skills

• Familiarity with legal technology platforms and eDiscovery tools such as Relativity, Harvey, Mary Technology or similar AI and data analytics tools (formal experience is a plus)
