About the role
We are seeking an experienced Legal Office Manager / Executive Assistant to support the Principal Partner of a well‑established boutique commercial law firm in Melbourne’s CBD. This full‑time, on‑site role combines high‑level executive assistance with the day‑to‑day management of the practice, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional client service.
Key responsibilities
- Manage incoming client enquiries, correspondence and confidential communications.
- Coordinate daily office operations, workflow, staff schedules and administrative functions.
- Prepare, format, proofread and manage legal and business documentation.
- Provide high‑level executive support to the Principal Partner.
- Liaise with clients, barristers, consultants, suppliers and external stakeholders.
- Oversee document management systems, filing protocols and practice administration procedures.
- Assist with debtor management, invoicing follow‑up and administrative reporting.
- Support the firm’s branding, online presence and client engagement initiatives.
Required profile
- Proven experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Strong organisational, time‑management and commercial awareness.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with a polished professional demeanor.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities with discretion and initiative.
Required skills
- Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive).
