Legal Counsel, Real Estate & Planning

About the role

AirTrunk is seeking a Legal Counsel to lead property, planning, leasing and acquisition workstreams across the APJ region. Reporting to the Senior Director of Capital Projects, you will collaborate with legal, site selection and development teams to support rapid data‑centre expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Review, negotiate and advise on legal contracts related to property and planning across APJ.
• Support the Site Selection team in creating and improving commercial arrangements, contractual frameworks and policies.
• Monitor emerging property, foreign investment and planning issues, driving compliance initiatives and training.
• Assist in managing and resolving claims or disputes arising from site selection activities.

Required profile

• Law degree from an accredited law school.
• Minimum 8 years of real‑property experience in a reputable law firm or in‑house, preferably with planning exposure.
• Experience advising on a broad range of property‑related matters across APJ markets.
• Strong commercial judgement, negotiation skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams autonomously.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building capabilities.
• Proactive, “can‑do” attitude and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
