Legal Counsel – Automotive Litigation & Consumer Law

About the role

JLR is seeking a qualified Solicitor to join its Legal and Compliance function as a Legal Counsel supporting the Australian market. The role offers the chance to work on high‑value commercial, consumer and regulatory matters while collaborating with an international, cross‑functional team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist and manage litigation matters across Australia.
• Advise, draft and negotiate commercial, consumer and regulatory agreements of high complexity.
• Maintain a varied workload with agility and flexibility.
• Analyse business decisions, challenge assumptions and influence stakeholders.
• Build strong networks through cross‑functional and cross‑border collaboration.
• Undertake additional tasks as required by the team or manager.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor registered to practice in Australia.
• Proven experience in litigation and consumer law.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify legal risks.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on delivering consistent quality.
