Lecturer in Occupational Therapy – Education or Research Focus

About the role

The University of Canberra is seeking an enthusiastic occupational therapist to join its highly regarded health discipline team. This full‑time or part‑time position offers an Education Focus (EF) or Education Research (ER) lecturer role, contributing to teaching, scholarship and research across Bachelor and Master programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver occupational therapy units.
• Lead innovative teaching practices and develop curriculum.
• Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, workshops, practical classes and seminars.
• Design, develop and review learning materials.
• Assess student performance and provide high‑quality feedback.
• Support student learning and supervise Honours and HDR students (ER).
• Develop and contribute to a collaborative research programme (ER).

Required profile

• Registration as an occupational therapist with AHPRA.
• Significant clinical experience as an occupational therapist.
• Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and student‑centred learning.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• For the research‑focused role: PhD (or progress towards completion) and an emerging or established research profile.
