Learning Management System (LMS) Coordinator

About the role

The Learning Management System (LMS) Coordinator will lead the LMS team in delivering a seamless online learning experience for both internal and external clients. Reporting to the Manager of Product Services, this role is based at either the Cairns or Townsville campus and focuses on promoting the use of digital technologies across educational programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Guide, motivate and mentor the LMS team in daily activities.
• Coordinate the creation of course shells, unit offerings, student hubs and orientation materials within set timelines.
• Collaborate with Educational Team Leaders and educators to ensure the LMS meets client expectations and delivers quality outcomes.
• Represent the region at local and state‑wide network meetings and communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Facilitate smooth transitions to the LMS for current practices and develop clear help‑desk support processes.
• Oversee regional help‑desk support for LMS users and educators.
• Set up online and blended course materials where a Master Product is unavailable.
• Manage data storage reconciliation and produce usage, access and analytics reports.
• Identify and report inconsistencies in LMS analytics, highlighting potential challenges.

Required profile

• Demonstrated leadership and team‑management experience.
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to develop and document clear processes and procedures.
• Experience in coordinating online or blended learning initiatives.
