Learning & Development Manager - Pharmaceutical

About the role

A global pharmaceutical company with an established ANZ team is looking for a newly created Learning & Development Manager in Melbourne. The role leads the entire L&D function, trains and develops the sales force and reports to the HR Manager. It offers high visibility to the executive leadership team and sits within a collaborative, agile HR, Learning and Leadership team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver product and sales training modules
• Onboard new hires and support ongoing sales training milestones
• Contribute to the National Sales conference and cycle meetings
• Coach infield, support sales leaders and gain insights from the field team
• Drive learning outcomes
• Collaborate with Medical, Marketing and leadership teams

Required profile

• Qualifications in Science, Nursing or Business preferred
• Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment or similar
• Track record of delivering effective training, ideally in the pharmaceutical sales industry
• Knowledge of adult learning principles
• Exposure to learning frameworks and planning
• Recent experience in a pharmaceutical sales or sales management role highly regarded

Required skills

• Preferred: digital training, soft skills and leadership development
• Ability to engage and prepare the sales force for effective product promotion
