Learning & Development Lead

About the role

Liebherr Australia is looking for a Learning & Development Lead to shape learning strategy, influence organisational performance and lead programs that support employees at every stage of their career. Working closely with leaders across Australia and New Zealand, the role helps build a culture of continuous learning and development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and drive the Learning & Development strategy to build capability across the organisation.
• Partner with leaders to identify skills gaps and turn business needs into effective learning solutions.
• Lead the design, development and continuous improvement of learning programs in classroom, digital and blended environments.
• Manage and develop a team of Learning & Development specialists, providing coaching, guidance and leadership.
• Oversee early careers and apprenticeship programs, ensuring strong outcomes, compliance and talent pipeline development.
• Measure learning effectiveness, report on outcomes and drive continuous improvement through data and feedback.

Required profile

• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in the Learning and Development sector.
• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Education, Organisational Psychology or a related discipline.
• Proven experience leading learning strategy and capability initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to design, implement and evaluate learning programs, including measuring effectiveness and business impact.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design and training needs analysis.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), digital learning platforms and external training providers.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, coaching and leadership skills.
