Leading Hand – Night Shift Civil Crew Leader

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Leading Hand to manage the night‑shift civil crew on the Australian Naval Infrastructure (ANI) enabling works at the Osborne Naval Shipyard in Adelaide. The role involves overseeing a small team performing drainage, excavation, pavement and concrete works to support the future Submarine Construction Yard.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and direct the night‑shift crew on‑site.
• Allocate daily tasks and ensure work meets quality and safety standards.
• Monitor plant, equipment and material usage.
• Identify and report hazards, stopping unsafe work when necessary.
• Provide on‑the‑job guidance to new workers.
• Keep the Night Supervisor informed of progress and issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in civil construction, including drainage, excavation, pavements and concrete.
• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety.
• Previous experience leading a small crew.
• Valid White Card and current driver’s licence.
• Willingness to work night shifts.
