Leading Hand – Night Shift (Civil Construction)

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Leading Hand to manage the night‑shift civil crew on the Australian Naval Infrastructure (ANI) enabling works at the Osborne Naval Shipyard. Reporting to the Night Supervisor, you will lead a small team each night on a variety of civil tasks, ensuring safety, quality and schedule adherence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and direct the night‑shift crew.
• Allocate daily tasks to crew members.
• Verify that work meets quality and safety standards.
• Monitor plant, equipment and materials on site.
• Report hazards and stop unsafe work.
• Provide on‑the‑job guidance to new workers.
• Update the Night Supervisor on progress.

Required profile

• Experience in civil construction (drainage, excavation, pavements, concrete).
• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety.
• Proven experience leading a small crew.
• White Card (construction induction).
• Current driver’s licence.
• Willingness to work night shifts.
