Lead Systems Analyst - IBM Sterling Integration

About the role

A major Federal Government program is seeking experienced Lead Systems Analysts with strong expertise in IBM Sterling Integration technologies. The role leads the design, implementation, support and optimisation of large-scale integration platforms that support high-volume business-critical services across government. Multiple opportunities are available (minimum 2 positions) and the location is Canberra, ACT, with a hybrid arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, installation and operation of IBM Sterling environments and liaise with infrastructure teams on hardware procurement, design and configuration.
• Provide technical leadership during project build, testing and deployment, and prepare and oversee technical documentation, reports and design artefacts.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture and security requirements.
• Oversee platform performance, stability and maintenance, including patching and support packages, and ensure compliance with cyber security requirements.
• Act as technical subject matter expert, mentor and coach the team, support succession planning and lead technical decisions.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, collaborate with vendors and agencies, and manage escalated issues.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years' experience with IBM Sterling products.
• Demonstrated experience delivering projects to quality standards and producing technical and design documentation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Must be an Australian citizen holding a Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance.
• Must live within reasonable travel distance of Canberra to support occasional onsite work.
