Lead Product Designer – UI/UX, AI & Rapid Prototyping

About the role

MEDirect is seeking a hands‑on Lead Product Designer to shape its new Report Studio product. Working directly with the founders and Head of Engineering, you will turn emerging ideas into user journeys, prototypes, and ultimately working software, all in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Rapidly prototype concepts from problem definition through to interactive or lightweight coded prototypes, iterating based on feedback.
• Design end‑to‑end user journeys, high‑quality UI, and interaction flows for complex medicolegal reporting workflows.
• Refine and extend the existing MEDirect design system while ensuring consistency across different user roles, states, and edge cases.
• Collaborate closely with engineering to discuss APIs, data flows, component‑based front ends, and AI‑enabled interactions.

Required profile

• Strong product instincts with experience shaping scope, clarifying problems, and contributing to product requirements.
• Comfortable working in an ambiguous, early‑stage product environment and influencing design decisions alongside founders.
• Technical fluency to discuss implementation trade‑offs, workflow logic, and reusable components with developers.

Required skills

• UI/UX and interaction design expertise.
• Rapid prototyping using tools such as Figma and AI‑assisted design/coding platforms.
• Understanding of APIs, data flows, component‑based front‑end architecture, and AI‑enabled interactions.
