Job description
About the role
HUB24, an ASX-listed wealth management company, is looking for an experienced Lead Product Designer to shape complex experiences across its professional and investor products. The role covers financial reporting, engagement, transactions, administration and broader platform workflows, leading work from early discovery and problem definition through to journey mapping, interaction design, validation and delivery support. It can be based in Sydney or Melbourne, with two days per week in the office.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design scoping of complex initiatives across internal teams, advice ecosystem partners and large financial institutions.
- Translate business priorities, customer needs, technical constraints and stakeholder expectations into clear design problems and delivery options.
- Shape end-to-end experiences across professional and investor products, including reporting, engagement, transactions, administration and platform workflows.
- Partner with Product Managers, engineers, subject matter experts, operations teams and external stakeholders to understand requirements and align on scope.
- Facilitate workshops and working sessions to build shared understanding, clarify trade-offs and progress complex decisions.
- Develop journey maps, user flows, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs to explore, validate and communicate design direction.
- Use research, data, stakeholder insights and domain knowledge to support evidence-based design decisions.
- Design for complex financial and operational scenarios, including decision points, exceptions, communications and status visibility.
- Communicate design rationale, risks and trade-offs clearly, and produce well-documented design artefacts for handover to delivery teams.
- Apply design system patterns and introduce new ones, and respond to feedback while keeping the user experience consistent.
Required profile
- 10+ years' experience in product design, UX or interaction design, ideally with complex digital products in a corporate environment.
- Demonstrated senior or lead-level experience, bringing structure to ambiguous or complex initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, able to build trust, influence senior stakeholders and align cross-functional teams.
- Experience across the product development lifecycle, from discovery and scoping to delivery support.
- Experience designing complex workflows involving financial transactions, operational processes, regulated environments or multi-party decision-making.
- Experience partnering with engineering and delivery teams; comfort in a fast-moving environment.
- Wealth management, investment platforms, regulated financial services or enterprise partnership experience is highly regarded.
Required skills
- Product, interaction and systems thinking.
- Ability to balance customer needs with commercial outcomes, risk, compliance and technical feasibility.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to present design direction through clear artefacts and storytelling.
- An understanding of front-end technologies and delivery constraints for complex transactional products would be beneficial.
What we offer
- Flexible and hybrid ways of working.
- Employee Share Scheme.
- Additional leave and wellbeing support, plus enhanced parental leave.
- Everyday benefits including discounts and financial wellbeing support.
