Senior Product Designer

About the role

Macquarie is looking for a Senior Product Designer to help define and deliver its experience vision across the platforms serving its business-to-business banking customers. Working in the Research and Design team and reporting to the Design Lead, the role covers desktop and mobile, shapes design standards and drives user-centered design activities.

Key responsibilities

• Craft innovative, user-friendly UX/UI solutions that meet complex challenges and organisational goals
• Design and lead workshops that foster ideation and iteration, with small teams or large groups, remote or in person
• Work with Business Analysts, Engineers, Product Managers, Researchers and Designers to prioritise design activities and research
• Translate research findings into narratives and share them through detailed reports and presentations
• Mentor less experienced designers and contribute to the design system, patterns and accessibility standards
• Use AI-native approaches, working directly in tools such as Claude to move from concept to high-fidelity output

Required profile

• 5+ years as a UX/UI or Product Designer, including UX research experience
• Formal education in Design, HCI or a related field
• Proven track record shipping multiple digital products
• Portfolio showing UX/UI for mobile, desktop and web apps; native mobile focus highly regarded
• Experience with strata or property processes, or in a B2B/customer relationship environment, highly regarded

Required skills

• End-to-end design management, including design research, iterative design, prototyping and usability testing facilitation
• AI-native design: creating personas, journey maps, task models, wireframes and interactive prototypes with minimal traditional software, and AI prompting (preferably with Claude)
• Agile working and resilience to shifting priorities
