Lead Architect (Technology) - Cloud & Platform

About the role

Randstad is recruiting a Technology Architect for a long-term full-time contract in Brisbane, Queensland. The role establishes and governs technology architecture baselines, defines target-state blueprints and drives platform modernisation, including hybrid-cloud adoption and reusable patterns. Candidates must be based in Brisbane with unlimited working rights.

Key responsibilities

• Establish current-state architecture baselines and define target-state roadmaps across cloud, network, compute, storage and enterprise platforms.
• Develop enterprise technology standards, reference architectures and a governed pattern catalogue covering Azure landing zones, hybrid connectivity and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Implement a technology lifecycle management framework with technical-debt registers, remediation activities and migration roadmaps.
• Deliver design assurance, architecture reviews and governance artefacts aligned with security, operability, resilience and cost requirements.
• Guide hybrid-cloud adoption, platform modernisation and connectivity boundaries, including SAP on Azure and operational technology dependencies.

Required profile

• Substantial architecture experience across enterprise infrastructure, Microsoft Azure, networks, compute, storage, platforms and hybrid-cloud environments.
• Proven track record in technology lifecycle management, technical-debt reduction, migration planning and vendor assessments.
• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience; TOGAF and Microsoft Azure certifications are highly regarded.

Required skills

• Microsoft Azure, including landing zones, management groups, policies, networking, Private Link, identity foundations and disaster recovery.
• Infrastructure as Code, container platforms, platform engineering, automation and FinOps.
