Lawyer / Senior Associate – Employment Relations & Safety

About the role

This position is with a leading national law firm’s Employment Relations & Safety team, based in either Brisbane or Sydney. You will work alongside experienced practitioners, providing advice to a diverse client base that includes private sector organisations and government agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide employment law and workplace relations advice.
• Manage industrial relations matters, including enterprise bargaining.
• Represent clients in Fair Work Commission proceedings.
• Conduct workplace investigations and handle disciplinary matters.
• Address discrimination, under‑payment and other employment disputes.
• Advise on workplace health and safety incidents, regulator investigations and prosecutions.
• Support organisational change and major corporate transactions with employment law aspects.

Required profile

• 3+ years post‑admission experience in employment, industrial relations or workplace health and safety law.
• Strong technical, drafting and communication abilities.
• Commercial judgement and a solutions‑focused approach.
• Excellent time and matter management skills.
• Collaborative mindset with a genuine interest in building client relationships.
