Lawyer - Restructuring, Insolvency and Special Situations (Front-End)

About the role

A growing Restructuring, Insolvency and Special Situations practice in Sydney is looking for a lawyer to act for global financial institutions, listed and multinational companies, funds, directors, insolvency practitioners and investors. The role covers a wide range of restructurings and workouts, complex financing arrangements, special situations and corporate insolvency. You will work closely with partner Katie Higgins and other senior practitioners in a nationally collaborative team, developing your legal and client relationship skills under the mentorship of industry experts.

Key responsibilities

• Act for clients on restructurings, workouts, complex financing arrangements, special situations and corporate insolvency.
• Build client relationships and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Work with peers and partners in other teams across the firm in a multi-disciplinary practice.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years' PQE as a lawyer with strong academic performance.
• A background in banking or finance is highly regarded.
• Proactive, dedicated approach to client service.

Required skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• High-quality, technically sound drafting with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong time and project management skills.
