About the role
A growing team of laundry assistants is needed to work with a leading provider of linen and workwear in Footscray. The role involves operating industrial washing machines and dryers and handling mainly uniforms and linen. Hours are Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm.
Key responsibilities
- Loading and operating industrial washing machines and dryers
- Entering the weight of garments into a computerised system
- Folding uniforms and linen with precision
- Maintaining a clean and organised workspace
- Inspecting laundry for stains, damage or wear and reporting any issues
- Working as part of a team to ensure an effective work environment
Required profile
- Physically fit to handle the demands of the job, including lifting up to 25kg
- Previous experience as a laundry assistant preferred
- Reliable and punctual
What we offer
- $33 per hour plus overtime
