Knowledge & Content Design Lead

About the role

Medibank Group is looking for a strategic and experienced Knowledge & Content Design Lead to join the Medibank Hub and lead the evolution of its knowledge experience ecosystem. The role shapes the strategy, standards and future direction of knowledge design across a large and complex frontline environment, leads a team of Knowledge Content Designers and specialists, and acts as the design authority for content experiences, knowledge architecture and knowledge platforms. Candidates from interstate are welcome.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Knowledge Content Design function and coach a team of specialist Content Designers.
• Develop and deliver the knowledge experience strategy and roadmap.
• Establish content design standards, governance frameworks and best practices.
• Drive improvements in information architecture, content usability and knowledge management platforms.
• Use research, data and user insights to improve knowledge experiences and frontline performance.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across the business to influence priorities and deliver change.

Required profile

• Experience leading content, UX content or knowledge management teams.
• Strong grounding in user experience design principles and familiarity with user interface design.
• Expertise in content strategy, information architecture and user-centred design.
• Proven track record of creating plain English content aligned with accessibility standards and readability metrics.
• Experience establishing governance, standards and quality frameworks.

Required skills

• Experience with knowledge platforms, content management systems and digital content technologies.
• Practical understanding of HTML, CSS and accessibility principles.
• Aptitude for project and workflow management tools such as Miro, Confluence, Jira and/or Figma.
