About the role
Smartways is seeking a Kitroom Assistant to ensure surgical kits are accurately assembled, packaged, and ready for time‑critical delivery to hospitals and clinics. This position demands meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to compliance with healthcare regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Process incoming and outgoing customer orders, maintaining accurate documentation.
- Verify surgical kit checklists to confirm all items are present and in suitable condition.
- Prepare and pack kits using temperature‑controlled packaging to meet regulatory standards.
- Conduct routine and ad‑hoc cycle counts to maintain stock accuracy.
- Maintain records in line with audit requirements and report discrepancies.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and compliant working environment.
- Collaborate with logistics, customer service, and clinical teams to resolve issues.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or regulated healthcare setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs.
- Physical ability to lift and move medical kits and equipment.
- Excellent organizational, time‑management, and communication skills.
- Team‑oriented attitude.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using inventory management systems.
- Competency with general IT and data‑entry tools.
