Kitchen Steward - 5-Star Hotel, Sydney CBD

About the role

Challenger Services Group is hiring a full-time Kitchen Steward for a 5-star hotel in Sydney CBD. You will help keep the kitchen clean, organised and ready for service, supporting chefs and the wider team. Morning and afternoon shifts are available.

Key responsibilities

• Operate commercial dishwashers and clean crockery, utensils and kitchen equipment
• Keep kitchen areas clean, hygienic and organised
• Safely store clean equipment and prepare items for functions and events
• Support chefs with general kitchen duties
• Follow food safety, chemical handling and workplace safety procedures

Required profile

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, kitchen hand or stewarding role
• A Food Handler Basics certificate (essential)
• Reliable approach and willingness to help the team
• Ability to work safely in a busy, physically active role
• Understanding of food safety, safe manual handling and chemical handling
• Willingness to wear a steel cap, boots and black trousers
