Kitchen Attendant

About the role

Join the vibrant team at Peppers Waymouth in Adelaide’s CBD as a Kitchen Attendant. You will play a crucial part in keeping the kitchen spotless and supporting the culinary brigade to deliver exceptional dining experiences for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain impeccable hygiene while cleaning crockery, cutlery, glassware and other kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashers and manual cleaning methods.
• Carry out rubbish removal, sweeping and mopping of kitchen floors.
• Disinfect and clean work areas, ensuring correct sequencing of chemicals.
• Assist the kitchen team with basic food preparation tasks such as grating, peeling, chopping, and preparing batters, garnishes and seasonings.

Required profile

• Practical experience in kitchen operations or cleaning is a plus.
• Enthusiastic “can‑do” attitude with a positive and motivated demeanour.
• Ability to thrive in a diverse, fast‑paced team environment.
• Flexible availability for mornings, late evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial dishwashers.
• Knowledge of proper chemical usage and sanitation procedures.
• Basic food preparation skills including grating, peeling, chopping and preparing batters and garnishes.
