Key Account Manager – Pharmacy (API & Symbion)

About the role

Danone is looking for a commercially driven Key Account Manager – Community Pharmacy (API & Symbion) to join its Specialised Nutrition team. You will manage strategic wholesale and retail pharmacy customers, driving sustainable growth through strong commercial execution and partnership building. Reporting to the Pharmacy Channel Lead, you will own the sales plan, joint customer plans and commercial calendar for API & Symbion, supporting both Specialised Nutrition and Adult Nutrition portfolios while collaborating cross‑functionally with Category, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and Field teams.

Key responsibilities

• Act as primary contact for API & Symbion customers, building relationships with key stakeholders.
• Develop and deliver Joint Business Plans aligned with Danone’s category strategy.
• Lead negotiations on pricing, promotions and trading terms, and manage forecasts, risks and trade‑spend optimisation.
• Conduct range reviews to improve distribution, shelf presence and merchandising.
• Drive execution of new product launches, promotional plans and in‑store/online activations.
• Collaborate with Category, Marketing, Field, Demand Planning and Finance to ensure alignment and joint target achievement.
• Represent customer needs internally and act as an ambassador for Danone’s values, compliance and ethical standards.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in Key Account or Account Management.
• Experience in pharmacy (API, Symbion, or wholesalers) preferred; FMCG/Grocery also considered.
• Strong commercial acumen with confidence working with data and financials.
• Proven ability to influence, negotiate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Proactive, resilient mindset with a strong desire to learn and grow.
