Junior Sous Chef

About the role

Crown Perth is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to play a key leadership role within its kitchen, working alongside experienced culinary professionals to deliver exceptional guest experiences while developing and mentoring team members. The role offers exposure to diverse culinary operations within a world-class hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily kitchen operations and service delivery
• Lead, coach and develop culinary team members
• Maintain food quality, consistency and presentation standards
• Uphold food safety, HACCP and compliance requirements
• Assist with rostering, stock control and kitchen efficiencies
• Contribute to a positive, high-performing and collaborative culture
• Drive exceptional guest experiences through culinary excellence

Required profile

• Experience as a Junior Sous Chef or similar leadership roles in kitchens
• Strong culinary knowledge and operational expertise
• Passion for developing and mentoring others
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement
• Full availability across 7 days, including weekends and public holidays
• Experience in premium hotel operations is highly regarded

Required skills

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (minimum requirement)
• Current and valid Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (essential)
