Junior SEO Specialist (Melbourne)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior SEO Specialist to join our Melbourne team. You will manage client SEO campaigns, develop on‑page and off‑page strategies, and grow your technical expertise through continuous training and mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of SEO campaigns across diverse industries and aim to maximise organic search performance.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships via email, phone, and meetings, providing clear updates on campaign progress.
• Execute on‑page and off‑page SEO tactics, including technical fixes, content optimisation, and link‑building initiatives.
• Produce monthly performance reports that translate data into actionable insights for clients.
• Audit websites with specialised SEO tools to identify technical issues and propose remediation plans.
• Participate in regular training sessions, workshops, and 1:1 coaching with SEO Directors and senior team members.

Required profile

• Based in Melbourne, Australia.
• Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative environment (e.g., retail, hospitality, university).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable with client interactions.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and solid time‑management abilities.
• Self‑motivated, results‑driven, and eager to learn SEO fundamentals.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Google Suite.
• Familiarity with SEO tools such as Ahrefs or SEMrush.
