Junior Lawyer (2+ Years Post-Admission Experience)

About the role

Spectrum Lawyers, a growing boutique firm with offices in Williamstown and Frankston, provides practical, solutions-focused advice in building and construction law, family law, conveyancing, wills and estates, powers of attorney and outsourced general counsel services. It is seeking a motivated Junior Lawyer with at least 2 years of post-admission experience. The role suits someone wanting to broaden their experience in a supportive, collaborative environment, working across a range of matters with exposure to several practice areas.

Key responsibilities

• Manage your own files with guidance and support from senior practitioners.
• Advise builders, developers, contractors and property owners on contractual and dispute-related matters.
• Draft and review contracts, correspondence, court documents and legal advice.
• Assist with matters in family law, conveyancing, wills and estates and general counsel services.
• Build and maintain client relationships through direct client contact.
• Take part in business development and help grow the firm.

Required profile

• Admission to practise in Victoria with at least 2 years' post-admission experience.
• Experience or a genuine interest in building and construction law; experience in commercial, property or family law is highly regarded.
• Proactive, client-focused approach and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Required skills

• Strong drafting, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
