Junior Full Stack Engineer - Hybrid

About the role

Sitemate builds software and AI agents for construction, infrastructure and industrial companies. The Junior Full Stack Engineer is an ownership role covering product outcomes end to end, from technical approach and feature building to release, reliability and production performance. The position is full-time, based in Sydney or Melbourne, and offers a hybrid arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Build and ship features with guidance from experienced teammates, working across frontend, backend and mobile.
• Work with AI tools daily, using the team's workflow for planning, implementation and review.
• Fix bugs and improve product stability across web and mobile.
• Investigate and resolve production issues.
• Develop a product mindset and grow into more ownership over time.

Required profile

• Experience building things at a startup, in a side project, during a bootcamp or at university.
• Curiosity about AI-powered development and willingness to learn fast in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn the tech stack; you do not need to know all of it.

• Remuneration of AUD 85,000 - 115,000 depending on experience, plus equity options.
