Senior Education Sector Advisor

About the role

Infosys Consulting, the worldwide management and IT consultancy unit of the Infosys Group, is hiring a Senior Education Sector Advisor in Melbourne. The role provides strategic education sector expertise to support client proposals, RFP responses, business cases, solution development and transformation initiatives, acting as a trusted advisor to education leaders, administrators and community stakeholders. It is a permanent position with a hybrid working model (onsite Melbourne with a balance of work from home).

Key responsibilities

• Shape proposals, bids and RFP responses with deep education sector insight.
• Advise clients and Infosys teams on education outcomes, sector trends, policy considerations and stakeholder expectations.
• Develop value propositions, business cases and benefits-realisation frameworks.
• Review and validate solution approaches from an education and operational perspective.
• Facilitate workshops, strategic planning sessions and executive presentations.
• Support account planning, opportunity qualification and sector growth initiatives.
• Build relationships with school leaders, executive teams, boards, community representatives and government stakeholders.
• Support large-scale transformation programs such as ERP, CRM, Student Management, Workforce Management and Finance initiatives.
• Work with account leadership and delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in education, Business, Public Policy, Technology or a related discipline; postgraduate qualifications highly regarded.
• 10+ years of experience within the education sector.
• Senior leadership, advisory or consulting experience supporting education transformation.
• Deep knowledge of the Victorian K-12 education landscape and the Catholic education environment; knowledge of the Victorian Department of Education and Independent Schools is valued.
• Ability to engage with Principals, CIOs, CFOs, Executive Directors and governing boards.
• Consulting, project management, business analysis or change management certifications are advantageous.

Required skills

• Understanding of K-12 systems, school operations, curriculum, student administration, workforce management, finance and wellbeing obligations.
• Strategy and operating model development, business case development, transformation roadmaps and benefits realisation planning.
• Proposal writing, business case writing and stakeholder engagement.
• Exposure to SAP, Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, Workday or ServiceNow is desirable.
