Junior Estimator

About the role

An early-career Estimator is sought to join a reputable construction contractor in Melbourne. You will be supported and mentored by experienced Senior Estimators and gain hands-on exposure to the full tender process within a collaborative team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Senior Estimators in preparing tenders
• Complete quantity takeoffs
• Obtain and compare quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
• Follow up with trades to secure pricing within tender deadlines
• Compile and prepare tender reports
• Work with the wider team throughout the tender process

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Construction (essential)
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and take ownership of tasks
• Coachable and open to feedback
• Full Australian working rights

Required skills

• Strong analytical and/or financial skills (highly regarded)
• Experience with Cubit is advantageous but not essential
