IT Systems Administrator

About the role

Intrax, an Australian-owned engineering consultancy founded in Victoria in 2003, provides end-to-end engineering services across residential, structural, civil, building services, surveying, geotechnical and forensic disciplines. About 400 people rely on its technology every day to deliver engineering work across Australia, and this role keeps that environment secure, stable and easy to use while helping it grow with the business.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, Azure and Microsoft 365
• Manage Intune, endpoint compliance, app deployment and device lifecycle
• Provide Level 2/3 support and resolve incidents
• Monitor infrastructure, backups, patching and performance
• Support cybersecurity work, including Sophos MDR and vulnerability remediation
• Support NetSuite, Box and other business-critical systems
• Maintain documentation and work with vendors to improve services

Required profile

• Ideally 3+ years in a Systems Administrator or similar role
• Experience with NetSuite, Box or Sophos, or certifications such as MD-102, AZ-104, SC-300, Security+ or ITIL, will help
• Clear communication and a service mindset
• Ability to take initiative, fix root causes and work independently while keeping stakeholders informed

Required skills

• Strong Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and Azure experience
• Windows Server and hybrid environment experience
• Solid grounding in networking, security and endpoint management
