IT Systems Administrator

About the role

Journey Beyond is seeking a service‑oriented IT Systems Administrator to maintain and enhance its technology landscape. You will ensure the reliability, security and performance of the group’s IT infrastructure, enabling teams across Australia and New Zealand to deliver memorable tourism experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Provision and configure IT assets for new hires and manage off‑boarding processes.
• Provide technical assistance via phone, remote sessions and on‑site desk support.
• Monitor system alerts, respond promptly and resolve incidents.
• Manage the IT support ticket queue, ensuring timely resolution.
• Maintain security patches, backups and performance tuning of servers and workstations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve systems and support business growth.

Required profile

• Reliable IT professional with strong attention to detail.
• Proven experience delivering accurate, timely technical support.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Organised, able to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in an information‑technology discipline.

Required skills

• Windows operating system administration.
• Microsoft 365 / Office suite expertise.
• Experience with telephony systems.
• Knowledge of cloud‑based infrastructure technologies.
• IT asset provisioning and hardware/software deployment.
• Ticketing and system monitoring tools.
