IT Helpdesk Officer

About the role

Joss Group, a privately owned regional construction and facilities management business serving New South Wales, the ACT and Victoria, is looking for an experienced IT Helpdesk Officer in Albury. As the first point of contact for IT support, you will troubleshoot technical issues, support the setup of equipment and applications and work closely with the wider IT team so that people stay connected and productive.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 IT helpdesk support, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and operating system issues.
• Manage support tickets and escalate more complex issues to IT Engineers when needed.
• Set up computers, software, telephones and tablets for employees.
• Troubleshoot business applications and support staff with technology-related queries.
• Help maintain company mobile and IP telephone services, databases and network documentation.
• Liaise with external IT service providers and other organisations to resolve issues.
• Support IT equipment maintenance, asset management and record keeping.
• Contribute to IT policies, procedures and documentation.
• Take part in a rotating after-hours support arrangement.

Required profile

• Minimum of three years' experience in the IT industry.
• Proven experience troubleshooting hardware, software and operating system issues.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies, systems and applications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Initiative, problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team.
