IT Controls Officer - Demand & Projects

About the role

Metcash is looking for an IT Controls Officer - Demand & Projects to join its Group IT team. The role sits in the IT Controls function and covers demand intake, project governance, meeting administration and reporting. It suits someone with a strong administration, project support or coordination background who enjoys working with stakeholders and keeping processes on track. The position is based in Macquarie Park, NSW or Heatherton, VIC, is permanent full-time and starts in January 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer incoming demand requests, keeping information complete and accurately tracked
• Support project governance and help move work through established processes
• Prepare meeting agendas, gather supporting documents and coordinate governance forums
• Take accurate minutes, track actions and share outcomes with stakeholders
• Support project and portfolio reporting, ensuring data accuracy and consistency
• Assist with project set-up and administration across systems
• Manage shared team communications and support the IT Controls mailbox
• Produce reports and help with timesheet, billing and compliance administration
• Build relationships with Project Managers, leaders and key stakeholders, and identify process improvements

Required profile

• Previous experience in administration, project support, coordination, PMO support or a similar role
• Strong stakeholder management and excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication, able to handle multiple priorities
• Proactive, willing to own tasks from start to finish
• Experience preparing meeting packs, agendas, minutes and follow-up actions

Required skills

• Beginner to intermediate Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, Word and Teams
• Confidence learning and working across different systems
• Nice to have: Microsoft Copilot, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow or similar platforms, and experience in a large corporate, IT or FMCG environment
