iOS Engineer – Mid-Level & Senior Positions

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for talented iOS Engineers to join ABC Digital Product and help develop, maintain and evolve applications used by Australians every day. Two positions are available – one mid‑level and one senior – working across ABC’s iOS and tvOS applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain components and features across ABC iOS and tvOS applications
• Build scalable, secure, accessible and high‑performing mobile experiences using Swift and SwiftUI
• Contribute to reusable mobile components and apply modern frameworks and tooling
• Develop and maintain comprehensive unit, integration and end‑to‑end automated tests
• Own the full mobile release process, including CI/CD pipelines, automation and production monitoring
• Identify, triage and resolve production issues while improving reliability, performance, security and accessibility
• Document technical standards and best practices; senior role will shape roadmaps and mentor engineers

Required profile

• Advanced to highly advanced iOS development experience using Swift and SwiftUI
• Experience building public‑facing mobile applications on iOS and tvOS
• Strong knowledge of modern iOS frameworks, tools and software engineering practices
• Proven ability to deliver secure, accessible and high‑performance applications
• Solid automated testing skills across unit, integration and end‑to‑end tests
• Experience with mobile CI/CD, automation pipelines, production releases and monitoring
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and collaboration abilities
• For senior role: demonstrated technical leadership, roadmap definition and mentoring experience
