Investment Alternatives Specialist – Real Estate

About the role

Join Mercer Investments in Sydney as an Investment Alternatives Specialist focusing on real estate. This hybrid position requires you to be in the office at least three days a week and work across portfolio management, manager research, and client consulting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with end‑to‑end portfolio management of Australian real estate investments, including underwriting, due diligence, asset management, analysis and client reporting.
• Produce high‑quality manager research deliverables and contribute to strategic asset allocation decisions for specific real‑estate opportunities.
• Provide technical support and advice to client‑facing consulting teams, own real‑estate reporting deliverables, and represent Mercer at investor meetings and industry conferences.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in investment, funds management, advisory or direct property.
• Strong understanding of macro‑economic factors affecting real‑estate investors and knowledge of the superannuation industry.
• Post‑graduate degree or professional qualification such as CFA, RICS or CAIA is preferred.
