Internal Sales Trainee - Industrial Supplies

About the role

Statewide Bearings, an Australian-owned industrial supplier of bearings, power transmission, lubrication, pump, sealing and linear motion solutions, is looking for an Internal Sales Trainee for its Smithfield team. This is a full-time, 24-month traineeship where you earn while you learn, supported by experienced team members in customer service, sales support and branch operations.

During the traineeship you complete a BSB30120 Certificate III in Business and a BSB40520 Certificate IV in Leadership & Management, both fully supported and paid for by the employer.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries by phone and email
• Process customer orders and quotations, and follow up outstanding orders and requests
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers
• Liaise with the procurement team so customer delivery requirements are met
• Provide product information and sales support to help customers choose suitable solutions
• Support the sales team with customer requirements and day-to-day operations
• Prioritise tasks and manage your workload
• Help customers solve product and equipment issues
• Support warehouse and store activities when required
• Maintain safe work practices and comply with workplace health and safety requirements

Required profile

• Positive attitude and a genuine desire to learn
• Enjoys talking with people and helping customers
• Strong communication skills
• Interest in mechanics, industrial equipment or technical products
• Reliable, punctual and motivated to build a long-term career
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Willing to assist with warehouse and store duties and to lift items up to 15kg
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
