Intern Pharmacist – Tertiary Hospital, Darwin

About the role

This 12‑month full‑time internship offers pharmacy graduates the chance to complete their intern training in a tertiary hospital in the Northern Territory. You will work across two campuses, gaining exposure to a wide range of clinical presentations unique to the region.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the delivery of medicines management services within a multidisciplinary team.
• Assist with antimicrobial stewardship and infectious disease management programmes.
• Provide pharmacy support to acute, renal, critical care, paediatric and tropical disease units.
• Engage in weekend rosters and on‑call duties as required.
• Contribute to patient counselling and medication safety initiatives.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacy graduate eligible for intern registration.
• Enthusiastic and motivated to complete the intern training program.
• Willingness to relocate to Darwin and adapt to a tropical climate.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a large, diverse healthcare team.

• Remuneration package $83,963 – $106,860 per year (including base salary $70,971 – $90,331).
