Intermediate/Senior Tax Accountant (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Intermediate or Senior Tax Accountant to join our professional accounting firm. The role involves delivering high‑standard tax and accounting services to a diverse client base across partnerships, companies, trusts and SMSFs. You will work closely with partners and managers in a supportive, team‑oriented environment.

Key responsibilities

• Preparation of tax returns and financial statements for partnerships, companies, trusts and SMSFs.
• Tax planning and consulting on income tax, FBT, CGT and GST matters.
• Preparation of BAS and FBT returns.
• Ensuring accurate tax compliance and reporting.
• Liaising professionally with clients and external parties.
• Collaborating with partners and managers to meet deadlines and exceed client expectations.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Commerce with CA or CPA qualification (or working towards).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Australian public practice accounting.
• Australian citizenship, permanent residency or full‑time work rights.
• Strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge across various entity structures.
• High attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and ability to produce high‑quality work.
• Ability to work autonomously and contribute positively within a collaborative team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with Xero and Xero Practice Manager.
• Experience with MYOB, Class and FYI Docs (training provided if needed).
