Intermediate / Senior Accountant – Business Advisory Services

About the role

Join HLB Mann Judd’s Business Advisory Services team in Perth as an Intermediate or Senior Accountant. You will manage client engagements, deliver tax compliance services and support junior staff while deepening your technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of business advisory clients across industries, including ASX listed companies, large corporates, privately owned firms and SMEs.
• Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, BAS/IAS and other compliance obligations.
• Conduct taxation research and prepare client advice.
• Mentor and support junior team members.
• Collaborate with managers and partners on complex assignments and build strong client relationships.

Required profile

• 3.5+ years of public practice accounting experience (Big‑4, mid‑tier or boutique).
• Commerce or Business degree with an accounting major.
• CA or CPA qualified or progressing towards qualification.
• Experience with individuals, trusts, companies and superannuation funds.
• Eligibility to work in Australia.

Required skills

• Tax compliance across state and federal taxes (FBT, Income Tax, CGT, GST, Payroll Tax, Land Tax).
• Preparation and review of financial statements and BAS/IAS.
• Taxation research and client advisory.
• Mentoring junior staff and managing client relationships.
