Installation Manager

About the role

An Australian-owned, interdisciplinary design practice is recruiting an experienced Installation Manager in Sydney to lead installation works across building, construction and architectural projects. The role covers installations of structures and control systems, and the successful candidate delivers installations safely, on time and within budget while managing teams, subcontractors and stakeholder relationships. It is a full-time, permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all installation activities from mobilisation to handover
• Consult with designers and engineers to develop assembly and installation methods and influence design
• Coordinate resources, labour, plant and materials to meet programme milestones
• Manage and coach site teams and subcontractors, driving high standards of workmanship
• Carry out risk assessments, develop method statements and implement safe systems of work
• Maintain compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies
• Monitor progress, resolve issues and escalate where necessary
• Prepare programme updates, progress reports and site records
• Analyse contracts and variations, manage change control and support commercial negotiations
• Control site costs, report on budgets and support forecasting
• Liaise with clients, design teams, supply chain and internal stakeholders

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years' experience in construction and building installation projects
• Trade qualification, or tertiary qualifications in industrial design, architecture, engineering or equivalent experience
• Project management qualifications or equivalent experience
• Experience supervising multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors
• Full, unrestricted and ongoing rights to work in Australia
