Ingredient Buyer – Animal Nutrition

About the role

Mauri is seeking an Ingredient Buyer to join the Weston Animal Nutrition team at its Enfield site in Sydney. Reporting to the Head of Procurement & Supply Chain, you will own end‑to‑end purchasing of ingredients for feed mills across Australia and New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

• Raise and manage daily purchase orders and contracts across multiple sites in SAP.
• Review commodity and market reports to inform buying decisions.
• Run and own tender processes for ingredient supply.
• Monitor stock coverage and forecast purchase requirements against mill usage and customer demand.
• Manage inbound logistics, delivery scheduling, shipping and lead times for both domestic and imported ingredients.

Required profile

• Commercially minded, organised and comfortable making buying decisions in a fast‑moving environment.
• Experience in procurement, buying and supply chain, preferably in manufacturing or agribusiness.
• Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system.
