Industrial Project Electrician - Panel Building & Conveyor Installations

About the role

A recruiter is seeking an experienced Industrial Project Electrician for a Sydney-based team of an industrial electrical specialist that supplies automation solutions to industrial robotic integrators and major brands across Australia. Based in a Moorebank facility, the role combines panel building, conveyor and sensor installations and limited fault finding, with installation work across Sydney and the chance to move to projects interstate.

Key responsibilities

• Complete high-quality electrical installations on site, keeping them neat and professional
• Build panels in the workshop to precise specifications
• Install, wire and commission complex conveyor and sensor systems
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
• Fault find specialised equipment to help project engineering teams
• Travel to customer sites across Sydney, with occasional interstate travel for major projects
• Work overtime when required to meet project outcomes

Required profile

• Full NSW A Grade Electrical Licence
• Current Australian driver's licence
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency
• 5+ years of experience in a similar industrial electrical environment
• Mandatory panel building and conveyor/sensor installation experience
• Well presented, proactive, with good time management and communication skills for high-profile clients

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings (CAD experience highly regarded)
• PLC fault finding and programming, preferably with Allen Bradley
