Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician – 5/4 Shift

About the role

Dematic, a global leader in automation and robotics, is seeking an Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician to join its Queensland team. You will work a 5/4 roster across multiple customer sites, gaining exposure to a variety of mechanical and electrical systems while supporting critical operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on automation equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Respond to day, afternoon, night, weekend and public‑holiday shifts as required.
• Troubleshoot faults, carry out repairs, and ensure equipment reliability.
• Document work using Maximo CMMS (training provided).
• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to deliver timely solutions.

Required profile

• Australian Trade Qualification – Certificate III Electrotechnology Electrician.
• Unrestricted Electrical Licence (Australia).
• Ability to work autonomously or as part of a small team.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and decision‑making skills.
• Effective communication with customers and colleagues.

Required skills

• Hydraulic and pneumatic system knowledge.
• Automation experience.
• Familiarity with Maximo CMMS (training provided).
• PLC programming basics.
• Siemens S7 and SCADA familiarity.
