Indigenous Engagement Manager

About the role

The Indigenous Engagement Manager – Victoria will lead First Nations engagement across Stockland's Victorian projects, assets and operations, reporting to the National Indigenous Engagement Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with Traditional Owners, Registered Aboriginal Parties, Aboriginal organisations and community stakeholders.
• Provide guidance on Aboriginal cultural heritage requirements and lead Designing with Country initiatives.
• Support Indigenous procurement, employment and training opportunities and strengthen cultural capability across the business.
• Contribute to reporting, governance and delivery of measurable First Nations outcomes.

Required profile

• Experienced First Nations engagement professional with strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and Victorian Indigenous affairs.
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with Traditional Owners and community stakeholders.
• Proven experience delivering initiatives in reconciliation, cultural heritage, Indigenous procurement and employment pathways.
• Collaborative, proactive and able to influence stakeholders and provide practical advice on culturally sensitive matters.
