Inclusive Education Coordinator

About the role

Xavier College is seeking two Inclusive Education Coordinators for its Gawler Belt (7-12) campus. The positions are fixed term, lasting four years, and sit within the school leadership classification level (POR3). Working together, the coordinators provide collaborative leadership of the Inclusive Education Program, supporting students with diverse, complex and additional learning needs in partnership with Education Support Officers and teaching staff. The role may include a teaching component.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of inclusive education practices and programs that support students' academic, social and emotional needs
• Provide strategic leadership, including oversight of NCCD processes, Personalised Plans for Learning (PPLs), reasonable adjustments and compliance obligations
• Lead and support Education Support Officers through communication, professional learning and strategic allocation of in-class support
• Work with teachers, wellbeing staff and leadership to strengthen inclusive classroom practice, PBIS implementation and student engagement
• Build partnerships with families, allied health professionals and external agencies, including NDIS, for coordinated support
• Contribute to enrolment, transition planning and case management for students with additional needs
• Advocate for equity, student wellbeing and positive learning outcomes

Required profile

• A passionate, collaborative educator committed to inclusive education and student wellbeing
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs
• Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills
• Ability to work in partnership with staff, families and external providers
