SACE Flexible Pathways and Support Coordinator

About the role

Xavier College is seeking an SACE Flexible Pathways and Support Coordinator for its Gawler Belt (7-12) campus. This is a fixed-term appointment of four years starting in January 2027, classified as POR3, and includes a permanent full-time teaching position. Working with campus leaders, teachers and support staff, the coordinator leads flexible learning pathways, career education and student support so students achieve their SACE.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate flexible learning pathways, including Vocational Education and Training (VET), career education and Pathways and Transitions initiatives.
• Support students who need flexible approaches to learning, ensuring engagement, retention and SACE completion.
• Lead and support the Flexible Pathways team, including the Career Counsellor, VET Coordinator and study support staff, through communication, coaching and collaboration.
• Work with leaders, teachers, families and external agencies on personalised interventions for students at risk of non-completion.
• Oversee the administration, assessment and moderation of SACE Cross-Disciplinary Studies and ensure compliance with SACE Board expectations.
• Coordinate academic tutoring and study support programs.
• Help develop inclusive pathway opportunities that prepare students for post-school futures.

Required profile

• Passionate, collaborative educational leader with a strong understanding of SACE, flexible learning pathways and student support frameworks.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, families and external partners.
