Implementation Engineer
Forter · Australia - Sydney
Job description
About the role
Forter is looking for an Implementation Engineer in Sydney to own the delivery of Forter integrations for newly signed and expanding customers. It is a project management-led role: you are the delivery owner for your portfolio, driving each integration from kickoff to go-live on time, with strong stakeholder alignment and a clear line of sight to business value.
Key responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of integration projects for your portfolio, acting as project lead and main point of contact from kickoff to go-live.
- Build, maintain and drive project plans to completion, proactively identifying risks and blockers.
- Lead project governance with customer stakeholders, set agendas, track action items and manage relationships with senior stakeholders and business users.
- Coordinate with Sales, Solutions Consulting, Customer Success and Analytics, partnering with an Analytics Consultant to turn technical progress into insights that meet customers' fraud prevention needs.
- Act as a technical translator, explaining integration concepts (API operations, JavaScript, JSON and other web/database technologies) to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Track and report project health and delivery metrics, flagging risks early in team meetings.
- Contribute to improving Forter's implementation playbooks and processes with lessons learned.
Required profile
- 5+ years managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects for enterprise customers, including engaging senior stakeholders and holding cross-functional teams accountable; project/program management experience is the core requirement.
- Proven track record of running multiple concurrent projects to on-time completion.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and an owner's mindset.
- Experience in a multinational environment; previous payments or ecommerce experience is a plus.
Required skills
- Working fluency with API integrations, JavaScript, JSON and other web/database technologies; hands-on build experience is not required.
- Plus: SQL, Python, customer segmentation and large dataset trend analysis.
What we offer
- Competitive salary and comprehensive health insurance including vision and dental.
- Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
- Generous PTO and half-day Fridays.
- Hybrid work, with team members near key hubs expected in the office at least three days per week.
