IEA Employment Consultant - Reservoir

About the role

APM is recruiting an Employment Consultant for its Inclusive Employment Australia Program at the Reservoir, VIC site. The role combines people support with sales, relationship building and administration, helping people with disability, injury or long-term unemployment find sustainable employment. It is a full-time position, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with participants to understand their employment goals and coach them to be job-ready and interview confident.
• Help participants with resumes, interview preparation, job search strategies and access to training and upskilling.
• Advocate on behalf of participants to employers and secure job placements, negotiating job trials, work experience placements and wage subsidies.
• Generate new opportunities through cold calls, employer visits and face-to-face engagement, and maintain a pipeline of employers.
• Pitch candidates, promote the commercial and social value of inclusive recruitment and influence hiring decisions.
• Achieve and exceed KPI targets for placements, engagement and activity, and track participant progress.
• Maintain compliance, documentation and data entry in line with program requirements.

Required profile

• Eligibility to work in Australia.
• Current driver's licence and a fully insured vehicle; willing to complete a National Police Check and pass a Working with Children Check.
• MyGovID (standard level).
• Experience in sales, business development, recruitment or customer-facing roles.
• Natural communicator and relationship builder, resilient and target-driven.
