ICT Support Technician – Entry Level (Victoria)

About the role

Join JB Hi-Fi Education as an ICT Support Technician supporting Victorian schools. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience providing on‑site desktop and basic server support while working alongside a Specialist Technician.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Service Desk Level 1 and Level 2 support for desktop hardware, software and troubleshooting.
• Assist the Specialist Technician in completing assigned tasks to resolution.
• Support the Notebooks for Teachers and Principals program locally.
• Deploy system images – packaging, building, testing and updating in live environments.
• Contribute to school technical documentation.
• Participate in on‑site installation of hardware and software systems.
• Perform basic server administration such as password resets, printer queue management, backup media handling and network service support.
• Undertake any additional duties assigned by the Specialist Technician.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Required skills

• Desktop support (hardware and software).
• Service Desk Level 1 & 2 troubleshooting.
