HVAC Revit Draftsperson

About the role

Crest is looking for a Revit Draftsperson to join its Drafting team at the Bella Vista office, following a successful tender. Reporting to the Drafting Manager and working alongside experienced Project Engineers and Project Managers, the draftsperson takes part in different stages of projects and shows strong design and technical ability for both design-and-construction and fully designed projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the technical aspects of projects and interpret drawings and plans
• Liaise with Project Managers and Engineers so drawings are completed and ready for construction
• Apply appropriate standards and guidelines to the design
• Prepare detailed workshop drawings including builders' works, equipment scheduling, coordination overlays and as-installed revisions
• Maintain accurate drawing schedules
• Take part in air distribution and duct sizing calculations, duct layouts, piping design and grille sizing
• Review design drawings and documentation (internal and external) and give feedback

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of mechanical services design and drafting experience of Australian HVAC systems
• Broad knowledge of HVAC systems and applicable Australian Standards and Building Codes
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines, with a strong customer service focus
• Australian citizen or permanent resident with unlimited working rights in Australia; no overseas applications

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge and proficiency with drafting software such as Revit, AutoCAD, CADMEP and BIM
• Similar software
